Newton House is on Channel 4’s TV Show ‘Four in a Bed’ between 16th and 20th May 2016.
Owner, Denise Carter and her colleague Jackie Fennell, had the task of visiting and judging other B&Bs as part of the format for the show.
‘We were a little nervous at first about being asked to take part in a national TV show, as it is one of those ‘warts and all’ formulas where other people are judging your business. But, we soon realised, it was a great opportunity for Newton House to be featured on national TV”, comments Denise.
The programme invites four sets of B&B owners to throw open their doors and take turns to stay with one another – and pay what they consider fair for their stay. The winner of the competition is the B&B that is judged to be the best value for money.
“We are not allowed to say who won in advance, as we are sworn to secrecy until the show is aired, but I can say that both Jackie and myself had great fun”, added Denise.
The competition is on Channel 4 at 5pm each day from Monday 16th May with three more episodes following during the week before the winning B&B is revealed on the final programme on Friday 20th May.
